String Function Syntax and Examples


STR( )

The STR() function converts a number to a string value.

Syntax:

STR(n)

where:

n is the number (integer or float) to be converted.


Example:

input: 100.00,-7000

IMPORT @sample.dat
{

RECORD
{
field1 *,
field2 *\r\n
}
schema1.table1
{
col1 STR(FLOAT(field1))
col2 STR(INT(field2))
}

}


Results:

schema1.table1.col1 '1.000000e+002'
schema1.table1.col2 '-7000'
